TCS 4th Grade Students Have a WILD Field Trip
November 13, 2015

Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Stephens 4th grade classes had an adventure filled day at the Georgia Southern Wildlife Center. As birds swooped overhead, the classes were wowed by the high-speed action of a Raptor Flight Demonstration. This group also enjoyed a Guided Habitat Walking Tour of 8 habitat stations with live birds of prey on exhibit.  The ecosystems and the ecology of the birds themselves were discussed and explained.  Finally, the classes had the benefit of exploring, locating, and identifying more than 50 different species of wildlife during the Down-To-Earth Encounter.  The opportunity to get up close and personal with eagles, snakes, giant owls, falcons, and a team of other engaging wildlife made this field trip overflow with excitement!
