Christian Crowson Competes in Southeast Singing Competition

Christian Crowson, local tenor, sang at Auburn University on Saturday, March 28th, in a competition involving vocal musicians from Georgia, Florida and Alabama sponsored by the National Association of the Teachers of Singing (NATS). A student of Mr. Dick Burrell, Christian placed 2nd overall in the 3rd and 4th Year High School Boys category at Auburn. To enter the competition, students must have studied one (or more) years with a professional voice instructor and prepare three classical songs for the competition, one of which must be in Italian. For the competition, Crowson sang "Non Posso Disperar"by daLuca, Robertson's "The Jolly Roger" and "Widmung" by Schumann. In 2014 Crowson entered the NATS competition when held at Columbus State University and won the Musical Theatre category in the same region. Christian, the son of Don and Mary Crowson, is a Junior at Trinity Christian School and plans a major in Music Education in college.
